I really felt like most of the characters, the main three especially, were incredibly fleshed out (I fell in love with Minerva). This added with the setting and atmosphere of a western combined with a woodsy cult and a monster from Eldrich hell made this book worth the read.

My main gripe with the style was the over saturation of metaphors and similes. I felt that the sheer amount of them took away from the imagery rather than adding to it.
