Soulless by Jade West
4.0

“I am going to destroy you, you know,” I told her, letting go of her flesh and hating how I was telling myself just as much as her. “This is all just a cheap thrill of a game until I get bored and take your life.”

She stared at me. “Like I said, I do have a brain. I’m a Constantine after all. It’s not like we could ever be fucking friends.”

Elaine Constantine. Rumored bad girl, addicted to whatever substance will keep her demons away. Black sheep of the family.

Lucian Morelli. Definite bad boy. Craves the pain of others. Head of the Morelli family and it’s holdings.

Constantine and Morelli. Two families that have so much violent, harbored hate toward one another - and it leaves the chance meeting of Elaine and Lucian to discover that they need each other more than they need this fight between families. They both harbor so many secrets and so much pain, that it literally completely changed the course of their lives due to these actions.

“Soulless,” by Jade West is book two of three in her Starcrossed Lovers Trilogy. It is a modern day take on Romeo and Juliet of sorts, and picks up where it left off in book one. This book focuses on Lucian and Elaine more in depth- what makes them tick, and the underlying attraction that they can’t both seem to get away from. How Lucian craves to inflict pain on Elaine, but he met his match in Elaine being able to take it. Now that they have found one another - and they are each other’s saving grace, how will they get out of it alive between their families?

*trigger warning: it does deal with elements of drug and alcohol abuse, self harm, sexual abuse and some BDSM elements if you’re not comfortable with them.
