So Many Books, So Little Time: A Year of Passionate Reading by Sara Nelson

4.0

This book was as much about the effect reading books has on a person as about the books that the author read. I loved her stories about her life and the interaction with books, even if the books weren't working for her. I think the entry I found most compelling was about A Million Little Pieces, a book featured in Oprah's Book Club and then later shown to be a false memoir. In this case, the author was able to extrapolate from reading about the demons discussed by the writer of the book to her own husband's struggles with an internal rage and she was able to reflect and analyze things differently and reconnect and recommit to her marriage. Proving once again that it is as much what we bring to a book as what we take away from a book that counts.
