I thought I’d really enjoy this one as I’ve enjoyed many southern small town romances in the past but this one was not it.

The premise was good even if it was similar to others but it just wasn’t explored enough, it was like we were thrown the premise and then it was just left to dangle.

And this was sort of the case throughout the whole book. We’d get thrown themes, such as fake dating and then it was never seen again or introduced to characters as if they were meant to mean a whole lot to the story and then they never made an impact like you thought they would.

There’s also the two romance storylines side by side throughout this story but I would of preferred just the one of our two main characters and it fully explored and gone into more depth earlier, like they kissed for the first time in the last chapter! And because of that I never felt myself hoping for them like you find in many great romances. The second storyline just felt unnecessary and didn’t really add anything in my opinion.

Definitely won’t be carrying on with this series.
