After reading the back of the book summary, I thought this was going to be fast paced adventurous YA novel with high stakes crime solving. This book was a lot more intense and dark than I expected it to be, but it was so incredibly well written. It is a lot less YA and a lot more “found family”. The pacing is a little funky for the first few chapters, but it’s well worth the read. I would highly suggest checking the trigger warnings before beginning this book
Graphic: Child abuse, Domestic abuse, and Emotional abuse
Moderate: Gun violence, Pedophilia, Sexual assault, Murder, and Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Abortion
