So what’s crazy is I got this book at the library a week ago and kept putting it at the bottom of my pile and then almost just returned it because I didn’t feel like reading it.
I couldn’t put this down. The characters? Insane. The plot? Insane. The plot twists? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nina is the only character remotely likeable and she’s very flawed. Her growth happens a little quickly but I had so much fun reading all of the twists and turns that I truly didn’t mind it. Vanessa is legit insane and only ever cares about herself and being famous, but she’s also a ton of fun. When they team up it’s just perfection. I had a hand covering my mouth when I realized what was happening and then when they accomplished what they needed to do? I pumped that fist in the air and cheered for WOMEN.
Is it perfect? Far from it. There was one fairly substantial plot device that I rolled my eyes over but I do think it fit with Vanessa’s character.
I just had so much fun.
