Anne is her usual loveable self and it was a light, easy read. This has always been my least favourite in the series. I wish we got at least glimmers of Anne and Gilbert together in this book instead of omitting the chapters where she speaks of anything but her daily adventures. There were sections of the book that dragged on and so many new characters introduced for only a chapter that it was hard to stay engaged at times.
