It’s hard to feel for Tori in the beginning of the book but by the end I feel sad for, not only her, but for all women in relationships like this.
She’s also placed so much pride on being this public persona that’s just so incredible and has a perfect relationship that most people would kill for. I’m finding a lot of similarities between the characters in her and her second novel, pretending.

The way my jaw dropped at this
Men will literally suck you dry of everything once you’ve made the decision to let them in your lives. This is was so hard to read but unsurprising as well. It’s become common knowledge to me but it never gets easier to notice.
