the MC Indigo in this story is probably the most relatable character i’ve ever read with the eldest daughter syndrome and gay yearning, then also the following two quotes;

“I think she could crush my head in her arms, and maybe I’d let her.”

“ “It isn’t up for debate. Do it now, Indie, or suffer the consequences.”

I consider I might want the consequences but move as instructed.”

i love a tall woman with dark hair that can pick me up!!

there’s a character in this that is a campion who is an ambulatory wheelchair user like me!) and I am obsessed with the fact that they use the chair when they’re feeling sore/tired and when they are not in a flare they fly. fantasy disability rep thats both sensitive and inventive is so hard to find and so i’ve not stopped talking about the rep in this book to my friends and family since i read it. 

the romance in this is so warm and sweet and the world building is incredible. i am totally obsessed with this universe and am even going to read the MF one which i usually just do not do for the spice heavy books. but i cant get enough of Augury University!

also, its always impressive when something is good enough to get me to pick up AND finish a ‘Christmas’ romance because i confess as a Jewish person who hates Hallmark type films, i can be a bit of a grinch when it comes to holiday romances.
