Still Me by Jojo Moyes
3.0

There is something I love about this series - perhaps its the depth that each book reaches to without ever really reaching. How these deep topics of sexual assault, death and the wish to die, all the way to our current political climate and the discussion of what an immigrant is - come up in each novel.

Josh was an ass. I've dated Josh and to be honest, Louisa knew what he was - had she forgotten her realization that Will had been an ass before his accident. That they never would have met if not for his accident? Just annoyed at that whole thing.

But I love the feminism aspect - that every woman has given up something to be where she is and to have what she has. I think men do as well but not to the same extent. The reality that one day we must have someone else's life first before our own is always on our mind. Endlessly really. If a woman is at home, she had given up her work life and if she is at work, she has given up her opportunity to have kids, and if she has both? her sanity. It's just an endless cycle of what we lack... Why for once can we not just embrace what we have and be thankful for it. Anyway, this has gotten super off topic and totally not a review of the book.
