Oh this was a really fast and fun one. We were getting through this so quickly. It picked up immediately from the first scene and I loved the witty banter between Benedick and Beatrice.
Beatrice! What a woman. Her scenes were impeccable. Her sharp tongue, her fierce loyalty, her unrelenting courage. I loved her. What an icon.
Benedick grew on me over time. I went from thinking he was mildly amusing to oh? He's so cute and sweet. And the end when he kissed her to shut her up. So cute. I was blushing and kicking my feet.
The other characters were also silly and entertaining, and some infuriated me--but not as bad as in The Taming of the Shrew.
All in all I enjoyed this quite a lot!! Very entertaining from the start till the end.
