Warlight by Michael Ondaatje

2.0

I wanted to love this, but, except for the last chapter, I just couldn’t. It was, indeed, lyrical, but ultimately, too much lyricism, too much fogginess, too many Artful Dodger types, too many greyhounds (way too many greyhounds) , and too little factual context about post-World WW II British espionage left me groping in the dark. I guess warlight is like that.
