Great disability rep, super cute characters, surprisingly wholesome relationship — truthfully, I wasn’t expecting to like this one as the whole stepbrothers angle is usually an ick for me, but the fact that they meet as adults/didn’t grow up together and seem to have had interest before their parents tie the knot, it didn’t bother me as much. Not enough to not be totally invested in Emery finding his peace & comfort in August, or the way August softens for him immediately and loves to take care of him.

I also really liked the PTSD & ADHD rep from Emery, it was extremely relatable and well-written (the night terrors were so real
