This is the first collection of short stories and essays I have read from Kurt Vonnegut. There are many standouts here for me, which will get stuck in the back of my mind for years to come: 'Happy Birthday 1951', 'Brighten Up', 'The Commandant's Desk'. As the others have written in their reviews, the best one by far is 'Wailing Shall Be In All Streets' about the bombing of Dresden.
