Five things about The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde ๐๐๐๐
1. This was mostly fun. I kept losing interest though and leaving it to sit unread for days at a time. It just never fully engaged me.
2. It reminded me a lot of Daniel OโMalleyโs series that starts with The Rook which I really enjoy. In fact, I enjoy it a lot more than I enjoyed this.
3. This was a lot. A lot going on. A lot to follow. A lot to learn.
4. It was funny and harrowing and mysterious.
5. On paper, I should have loved this. But I just found it hard to engage with. Sometimes books and readers just donโt click. Thereโs no fault to be hadโฆitโs just not a match.
