Matchmaking a Single Dad
by Angela Denise
I have previously read Willow's story and Bryn's story.
With that backdrop of the very toxic family they grew up in, it's actually less of a focus in this book - though it is mentioned - but their crazy grandma is more in the background and less of a constant thorn in the flesh in this book. That role is saved for Jane's grandparents - who definitely get what they deserve at the end. Jane seems older than her stated age, but she may just be precocious. It was nice that she and Holly had their own relationship around coding, independent of any relationship that Holly and Cole had.
Cole is a great guy, who is still very much haunted by the ghost of his late wife. It's not unrealistic, but it is definitely time for him to move on, and he finally does. The matchmaking app is a helpful plot device for their relationship.
Brother Rowan also plays a more prominent role in this book and has some good advice and support for Holly as she is working through some things. Looking forward to his eventual story.
We also get some glimpses of Rory and Bryn living out their HEA, which I enjoyed.
Looking forward to the next book in the series when it comes out in a few weeks!
