Kolejne 365 Dni

It’s really hard to understand how anyone can come into the 3rd book still having strong feelings about Massimo other than resentment. I know a lot of people are mad that Laura didn’t end up with him, but I feel like a strong case was made against him in the second book of why he was a bad husband. He abandoned her constantly, always put her in danger, couldn’t express his feelings, and only had rough sex with her. There was literally no love for her.
Yes, I understand that Laura has SEVERE Stockholm Syndrome, but at the same time it’s hard to blame her. She ended up with the man that never (knowingly) put her life in danger, gave her freedom, allowed her to make her own decisions, and let her live as her authentic self. He even let her spend time with Olga that was married to the number 2 in the Italian Mafia…how can you actually hate on him for that?
I feel like a lot of love also gets lost for these books because of a “poor writing style.” However, they’re translated from Polish…that doesn’t translate to English well at all. The authors note in the back even states that she hopes the books translated well into whatever language we were reading it in.
People love to judge and be so critical of an authors work and the changes they make for dramatic effect, but at the end of the day this books no better or worse than the 50 Shades of Grey series. There’s a reason the series is an international bestseller.
