The story and the characters are sweet and it feels very grounded, though a bit too tongue-in-cheek with the characters being self-aware of romance tropes they're doing. A review I saw described it as bi-curious wish-fulfillment which isnt wrong but also... nothing wrong with that, either! Had enough emotional feels, but the spicy parts were... not good. My favorite parts were the exploration of how their cultural roots impacted their queer identities. Some people will be very put off by the 80/20 split of POVs with the main one being 1st person and the other being 3rd.
