Bossypants by Tina Fey

The book was really funny. This book was a series of essays/memoir about Tina Fey's life. A great mixture of jokes, feminism, gender politics, and camp. She also touched on homophobia in her hometown and dealing with friendships with her gay friends as well(Two of the best stories, essays in the book). Her stories about her family and raising her daughter was also enjoyable. I also liked that she never took herself too seriously. My favorite chapter is the one about magazine covers. I really enjoyed her breakdown of how she developed and worked on 30 Rock and SNL. She had great insights about gender politics especially when discussing SNL. There was a few off color jokes that even though they were funny, were problematic and maybe not needed.. Overall, a surprisingly good read.
