This graphic novel is cute and energetic; very slice of life (with all the attendant specifics and difficulties; primarily difficult periods and changing countries and languages and romantic and friendly entanglements) and very, very adolescent. (As in, the character and her dramas feel incredibly true to adolescence.) Which was very well represented, but did make me wince through sections from secondhand embarrassment pretty significantly.
In slice of life form, a number of things weren't necessarily resolved, threads of an ongoing life - some from before the story the book tells, fading out a bit rather than being tied off; some that came up during the book and will (hopefully?) find their conclusion for Lia in the future.
