I thought this would be cute but I just found myself not caring. The MC was just so into her head all the time with no confidence whatsoever. I understand that's due to her acne scars, which would be hard for anyone. It just felt like that was the only thing I knew about her. She talked down about herself so much that it's all she can focus on and all that we could focus on. How did she get these two friends if she's soooo ugly? What about Alex? He clearly was into her but how could he be if she had bad skin? The lack of confidence got tiring.
I figured there would be more scenarios that play out in her head but it was really just mentions of things she wanted to happen. Some scenes felt like a list of actions the author wanted to get through instead of putting emotion into the writing itself. I didn't feel the chemistry between Natalie and Alex and once they got together, it was like...yeah okay. I guess. I just didn't care after a while so this book was just very 'meh' to me.
