Franck Thilliez is still a thriller magician. He manages to grab us from the very first pages right through to the end of the book.
We follow Sharko, who is called in to investigate a homicide that appears to be accidental, and subsequently the story of human DNA. As for Hennebelle, she has just lost one of her daughters in a terrifying crime and is trying to rebuild her life.
I have to admit that even though the story was fascinating, I wasn't all that interested in the explanation of the genes. However, the plot twist with the Hennebelle girls, I wasn't expecting that at all!
