Some of these stories stir and strike harder and more vividly than others, but none of them could be said to be bad. One or two might be a bit pedestrian. The high points really stand out.

Personal favourites out of these were The Salt Miracles by Natasha Pulley, The Old Play by Andrew Michael Hurley, The Gargoyle by Bridget Collins.

Some of the rest slip into things that are so well trodden they don't really have any spook factor any more in the dark winter nights.
