Romancing the Nerd by Leah Rae Miller
3.5
I actually reread the Nerd Series in 2022 because last time I read them, I didn't drop a review and I felt like I really needed to.
I have to say, I'm not always the biggest fan of these series where couple A gets a book and then there's a follow-up where a side character suddenly has a love interest running around - that we never heard about - as well, and I do think the first story is always the strongest because of that. And I don't think it's necessarily different over here.
I would recommend this series to anyone who wants to read about high school comic book nerds getting together, and LARPing, etc., but if you are a bit stressed for time and you feel you cannot fully focus on an entire series, just give the first one a shot and decide later if you want to finish this series or not. The second story doesn't add much to the first, and the second book can stand without the second one as well. No reread would be necessary, just pick up the names of couple A again, and you're good to go. ;)
Actual rating: 3.5
