Taste: My Life Through Food
by Stanley Tucci
adventurous
funny
informative
lighthearted
reflective
relaxing
medium-paced
A delicious memoir by a man who loves food and appreciates the art of cooking, without necessarily having the “chef” background that a lot of memoirs based around food require.
Mixed with recipes that I am definitely inspired to try, as someone with Italian ancestry, it was delightful to hear Stanley Tucci recount his life and share the memories of his favorite dishes, and how food brings people together, in good times and bad.
While there were a couple long winded script-like passages at the beginning and end that I would have reformatted to match the rest of the book, Tucci brings the story full-circle with cherished family moments.
