I don't really get the low ratings for this book. I thought it was a great pirate book with interesting magic and sexy scenes. The world building was perfect. Not enough to overwhelm, but interesting as was the storyline. And of course the smut was perfection as I have come to expect from Katee Robert. 

This is definitely different than other things I have read by Katee, but I truly loved it. I also appreciate the use of various pronouns. I think that Katee does an amazing job including diverse usage of pronouns and sexual orientations.
