The Bride Collector
by Ted Dekker
Okay, I'm a huge fan Dekker fan so you don't even need a review to know I enjoyed this book. Compared to the others I've read though, this felt slower, like it wasn't as fast paced as his other books which isn't bad. In fact, it helped build a lot of characters and small moments so when it came to the climax, I was rooting so hard for CWI.
First, let's talk about Roudy, I love that guy so much, his laid back nature and Sherlock Holmes persona is to die for.
Andrea is also so fun, I love her.
Don't know how to feel about Cass. I felt Paradise deserved her own romance novel, Ted write that, I'll gobble it up like brunch. I just didn't see Brad as her perfect fit but... Okay.
The moment I realised I felt indifferent about Nikki was on her dying bed Lmao. But something she said stuck with me.
"But what if it’s my choice when and how to go to him, not yours? Not even his. What ifbecause I am his favorite he gave me that choice? Because he loves me.”
I think that's a good place to end this review. All in all, the book was amazing, if you're looking for a more fast paced thriller, check out all Ted's other books but I'm this one, at least to me, it's the little moments that counts.
