2.5 stars. Reminded me somewhat of Crash Into You about Rachel & Isaac. Was pretty much a typical boy from wrong side of the tracks meets rich girl story with likable main characters.Lost a star because

she killed a puppy. A freaking puppy. Who does that? Evil people that's who. You want pathos and tragedy to bring your characters together kill or injure a character, not a puppy!

Elle's parents were a piece of work. Glad she finally was able to stand up to them. I mean seriously how rescuing a stray puppy can be categorised as terrible, selfish, thoughtless and irresponsible behaviour which is deserving of scorn, punishment and berating I will never understand. All general decency and humanity aside, wouldn't that have been something they could have spun for good publicity?
