This book was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful world building and a great balance between high stakes plot and hilarious characters. Amina, a retired pirate, gets back on the seas for “one last job,” but the stakes have never been higher. The characters are flawed but loveable, there are a wide range of ages, nationalities, and personal experiences on display is a way that doesn’t feel ham-handed. The only issue is that I’ve ruined myself again by starting a series that hasn’t been finished. Eagerly looking forward to the sequel in September!
