Drop Shot by Harlan Coben

3.0

The Philip Marlowe routine is still charming here, but some of the other carryovers from the first book wore a little thin (the unbelievably hot girlfriend, the mob guys, even the psychopath-as-Deus-ex-machina best friend). Still, the mystery is complicated and mostly tidily wrapped up. I, like a good Watson, figured out most of it juuuust before the parlor scene, so I can pat myself on the back.
