“but this is me, the truth of me, as I do so: broken open by the act, in the palm of your hand, dying.”
reading “This Is How You Lose The Time War” is stepping into a never ending whirlwind of words, worlds, and references. The world-building is vague, but adds in my opinion to the overal feeling of what a multiverse should be: chaotic, so many different things at once and most importantly not defined; so realities can be anything they want to be. The switching between two different perspectives (read authors) felt at times unbalanced, but not unwelcome: it helps support the different characters and their traits in this story.
