Why did I leave this on my TBR for so long? I absolutely loved this book and I am so excited for book 2.

I loved both Rose and Wren and the way both of their characters grow and learn as their independent adventures unfold.

Twins separated at birth, one raised by witches with the truth of the death of their parents, one raised in the palace filled with pretty lies. This follows their adventures as the twins swap places, one involuntarily, in the midst of plans to restore the power witches once had and allow them to come out of hiding.

Both girls learn a lot a long the way; truths about their kingdom, alliances and themselves and I absolutely loved the journey.
