Story Thieves by James Riley

Ugh. I'm to the point where I just can't force myself to like a book no matter how much I want to like it... Nor can I convince myself to keep reading even though I'm 150 pages in and I just know that if I wait a little longer, read a bit more, the book will get better.

I can't do it anymore. I've got too many other books on my to read list.

I'm quite disappointed that this book fell flat for me. Everything about it seemed awesome. That is, until I started reading it. I'm sure it has everything to do with my experience, not the book itself because obviously a ton of readers love it.

Anyway, when I realized my headache was from the confusing, chaotic plot, I had to stop. And I didn't even feel the need to go back to it. I didn't care what happened to Owen or Bethany or Kiel or anyone from the book. No one drew me back in (I almost said "Nobody drew me back in," but that wouldn't exactly be true).

Oh well. You love some and you don't. Unfortunately, this is one I don't. I am going to give the Half Upon a Time series a chance though. I've heard great things about it, and I love fractured fairytales.

Onward and upward!
