I was not prepared for this book.
It is definitely a good book, don't get me wrong, but man, it caught me off guard. It's just so dark! This may seem obvious because it's a "dark academia" book, but it was even darker than what you'd expect! So definitely check the TWs before you read!
Alex was such a great main character, just the perfect morally gray heroine. She was so unhinged which is always my favorite thing (example A: Jude from tcp). And then there's Darlington!!!! My only complaint is that he wasn't in the book more. He is a good match for Alex, because he is kinda her opposite? At least at first glance, they are completely different from each other, but when it comes down to it, they have similar values. I don't know if that made sense, but basically I really love both of them and want to see more! I expected there to be more romance between them, but it felt more like a friendship that will become romantic in the future if that makes sense?
Anyway! Great book, very dark and confusing, but great characters and mystery! I recommend if you like The Atlas Six, though this was less confusing than ta6, which is still the most confusing book I've read.

Okay ms Leigh Bardugo, please give us a release date or title for the sequel now! Thanks <3
