Fantastic script. I wanted to read Caleb and Ava’s conversations through text. The tension was still there which was great. Garland is a novelist turned filmmaker, which explains the depth to his films and the excellent dialogue. His projects mix drama with real science and existential philosophy.
Ex-Machina and Devs (/Deus) are some of my favourite pieces of TV/film these last few years. Oh and I see what he did there— “Deus Ex-Machina”. The combined title between projects makes even more sense if you’ve seen Devs.
