Troublemaker by Janet Evanovich, Alex Evanovich, Joëlle Jones

If I could give less than a star, I would. Although the illustrations are eye-catching and adorable (Hunter is a cartoon babe!), it wasn't enough for me to want to continue this series. In the beginning of the novel, I had a hard time figuring out what was even going on. I had to read several pages multiple times and still felt confused. We are randomly introduced to characters with a full page spread for each, EXCEPT for Rosa, the one character that everyone is concerned with saving. The story felt lacking and very short. I must say, I was rather disappointed. One of the reasons I like Evanovich is because she makes me laugh out loud. This only confused me and left me frustrated. Kudos to Joëlle Jones, though. Beautiful colors, bold images, wonderfully cute images that captivated me and kept me entertained while the story did not. I think in the future I'll look for more of Joëlle Jones work.
