Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare

3.0

At this point I am a complete glutton for punishment when it comes to shadow hunters.

Why can’t I stop reading. I don’t know.

The books just keep getting bigger and bigger. While I enjoyed this book and I definitely enjoy back being in the time period with Will and Tessa I found it unnecessarily long. There is a lot of the book that isn’t necessarily for the plot. Where the plot is building to is still very much unclear.

I don’t like the miscommunication in this book. Saying that I do find it more understandable when you consider the time period. Which is another thing that annoys me is that for somethings we are trueish to the period but morally they are very liberal even more liberal than the shadow hunters are in the books set in the current period.

Saying that Cassandra has definitely grown as a writer and the book was very well written and easy to get through despite the size.
