sooooo, I liked this story. It was a soft and chill read. There was nothing too exciting, which is why i gave it a 3.75.

Now one thing for sure, Leonor Soliz can writeeeeee a male character - The way Jake was described in multiple scenes - *chef's kiss*. Jake is so sweet and controlled and a gentle giant, and a good lover all rolled into a nice kind man. Vi is a little fierier and has a lot more spontaneity! Together they make a very sweet and charming couple, who goes through one of the cutest office romances I have read in a while. I felt like sometimes Vi and Jake would say one thing, and then behave in a while that wasn't always aligned with their characters, but it made for an interesting story for sure. I really thought the representations of different characters were great. I love that both characters were plus sized. I also liked how much and how important family was to both Jake and Vi. There is an on-screen panic attack/dissociation, and I thought it was well done (coming from a therapist).

There were a few parts that had me giggling and kicking my feet literally. I love how sweet and romantic this story was AND I wanted just a little more.

I would think of this book as a palette cleanser, or a book to get you slowly back into the groove of reading.

Thank you Leonor for this advanced copy - I enjoyed it so much.
