The Last Letter from Juliet
by Melanie Hudson
It took about a fourth of the book for me to get into it, but once I was hooked, I couldn't put it down.
Juliet's story was captivating and by the end, I was as invested in her memoirs as Katherine was. Katherine's journey towards happiness, the unique residents of Angels Cove, and everything about Juliet had me neglecting everything else until I finished.
Many books tackle love and loss, but few successfully portray it. The Last Letter from Juliet did this and so much more. The strong, independent character of Juliet, who persevered through so much, has inspired me. Her "I can do anything" attitude is how I aspire to be.
I'm glad I pushed through the first bit of this book, because it was so worth it.
