I've been enjoying all the novels thus far so the story itself definitely gets 5 stars from me. However if I am to take translation into consideration, it wouldn't be 5 stars. One of the reasons is that the translation doesn't retain honorifics. Especially in this series where I felt it was especially important regarding each character's relationship with one another. This is most likely a Yen Press thing so I don't blame the translator on it. 

There's also a very specific line that I don't agree with on p.12 where it was translated as

I saw no option but to plead the Fifth-

. 

More ranting about the specific translation choice below: 

It makes it so obvious that it was translated through an American lens, there are other countries that speak/read English as well and having that there was very jarring and it didn't feel right to assume that your reader is American. Additionally, the setting is in Japan so it's not very fitting at all and it makes no sense why Kuresawa would reference the US Constitution. I honestly don't know how that line even made it past an editor's eyes (if there even was one?)
