These books were okay. I liked the mystery surrounding the Thief of Souls, which is probably what kept me reading long after I would have stopped. The mystery was kind of anti climatic though and all of Callie’s “revelations” were pretty obvious, which annoyed me quite a bit. The dialogue was weird, the sex is weird, the background between Des and Callie is almost creepy giving how young she was, and he was just a typical brute type.
