This was a really cute, fun, light read! Captured the complex nostalgic feelings one feels at the end of high school very well. I really liked that miscommunication was not a central conflict. Loved the Jewish representation and how it showed that there is more than one way to be Jewish. I also thought it handled the topic of teenage sex in a way that was respectful and non-objectifying while still acknowledging that it happens.
Moderate: Sexual content and Antisemitism
Minor: Cursing, Drug use, Genocide, and Car accident
Moderate:
Antisemitism: one character makes an antisemtic comment about the main character. It is referred to a couple of times throughout the book.
Sexual content: characters talk about sex somewhat frequently. Non-graphic sex scene.
Minor:
Genocide: the Holocaust is briefly mentioned.
Car accident: the MC is involved in a car being rear-ended at the beginning. Non-graphic description, no injuries.
Cursing: light throughout the book. Several f bombs dropped.
Drug use: Main characters consume pot while underage.
