Disgusting to read but intriguing. A book about unwell people.
The novel makes some good arguments about society (like what makes people "valuable"), but I imagine a lot of the commentary is specific to Japanese society which I do not now v much about tbh.
I don't necessarily recommend this book because it's, like I said, pretty disgusting. But...I didn't hate it.
