King of the Wind: The Story of the Godolphin Arabian by Marguerite Henry

4.0

I was one of those kids obsessed with horses and I adored Misty of Chincoteague so much. So I knew going in I would like this book since its by the same author. Honestly I'm surprised I never read this as a child. This reminded me a lot of the 1927 winner Smokey the Cowhorse only it wasn't written from the horse's perspective. Another one I would recommend to any horse loving kids today!
