“Here's what I mean by the miracle of language. When you're falling into a good book, exactly as you might fall into a dream, a little conduit opens, a passageway between a reader's heart and a writer's, a connection that transcends the barriers of continents and generations and even death ... And here's the magic. You're different. You can never go back to being exactly the same person you were before you disappeared into that book.”
― Anthony Doerr

I am changed! What a book! Incredible from start to finish and even though it took me  awhile, I got lost in the language. I'd stop every other sentence because the writing is spectacular. It was a book I wish I read when it came out in 2014, but didn't.

Still processing it, but if you haven't read it. I strongly suggest you do. Not sure I'll watch the Netflix series just yet because the reading experience was transformational. Life!
