Partially ported over from my now-abandoned Goodreads:
Listen. This one is a classic for a reason and you should give it a go. It might not be your thing, but if it is, it'll blow your socks off (as it did mine) with its themes, messages, and of course the DINOSAURS. Seriously. Well-thought-out exploration of the dangers of marketisation, the ethical implications of genetic manipulation, AND DINOSAURS. What's not to like? I love a good dinosaur, that's for sure. Can you tell I like this book? You might like it too. Check it out.

Graphic: Death, Gore, Violence, Blood, Medical content, and Injury/Injury detail
A lot of people get killed by dinosaurs in this book. Some of it is very VERY graphic, even described via POV at one point. Seriously, the book is quite a bit gorier than the movie. There's also several depictions of medical treatment as a result of the aformentioned dinosaur violence, and some of that is pretty unpleasant too. This book is pretty close to a full-on horror book.
