Evina's father is deathly ill and she rides to Buchanan looking for Rory Buchanan and is told he's out gathering medicinals by the waterfall, when they arrive they find Conran bathing in the falls and assume he's Rory, things don't go exactly to plan and Evina winds up knocking him out so they tie his naked body to his horse and take off for their home.
When they arrive home and find her father still alive and Conran realizes what happened to him he decides to roll with it and starts treating the old Laird(thankfully he helps Rory often with his healing) eventually he recovers and decides to set up Conran and and his daughter.
The typical Sands story beats follow and as always it's entertaining.
