I was somewhat afraid to read this sequel (and acknowledge the fact that it's not a trilogy but a duology) because i was kind of afraid that it will not hold the same effect as the first one did. The first book fizzled with Iris and Roman's chemistry, this part was more war than love, but man, oh man, when they were together... I could feel how epic they are. The Lettera of Enchantment duology's world is so unique, so magical, it's a bit like WW1's London but with more magic, the background is so great and detailed, the myth interesting. I have to reread sometime to fully understand everything but this duology is for sure in my Hall of Fame MVP GOAT booklist forevverrr.
