Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

3.0

I mean, Six of Crows is a bloody good book with a great cast of characters, however, I can’t help but feel a little deflated because of the hype. I expected this to be better than Shadow and Bone, and while the writing was better I do feel like shadow and bone has more of a plot. Six of Crows is literally just this rag tag group going on a heist.

I don’t think it helped that I just didn’t care about Kaz. He reminded me of a mixture between Mal and The Darkling but with a dense personality. He didn’t drive the story for me and I was more invested in Wylan and the others in the group. Hopefully Crooked Kingdom is better.
