See You in the Cosmos by Jack Cheng

4.0

Alex has a dream to reach the stars. He records messages about life on Earth with his iPod. The plan is to send his iPod to space on his rocket. There is a rocket show competition where he is signed up to do so. Along the way he discovers more than he expected. And he gets by with a little help from his friends.

If you are a parent getting this book for a child, be forewarned that adult themes occur and an eleven year old kid has to figure out what to do. This is a mostly happy story. There are themes your child may want to ask you about. If you can borrow or buy the audiobook, listening to the story added to the experience.
